Old Age Pension Assistance Yojana Objective 2024
While many people of Gujarat depend on agriculture for their livelihood, people who earn their livelihood by farming or labouring cannot save themselves so that there is no source of income in old age. So that the old age pension Yojana is implemented by the Govt. and they are paid Rs.1200 as monthly pension, they will get financial help during their old age and can manage their livelihood.
Eligibility for Old Age Pension Yojana 2024
- Age of indigent elderly should be 60 years or more.
- Both men and women can apply.
- Age of Candidate's son should not be more than 21 years.
- In rural areas the income limit will be Rs.1,20,000.
- Income limit in urban area will be Rs.1,50,000.
- Age of destitute disabled applicant should be more than 45 years.
- Disability of destitute disabled must be more than 75 percent.
- If the son of a destitute elderly person is more than 21 years of age but suffering from any serious disease like TB, Cancer, then the Candidate will be considered eligible.
- The Candidate must be a permanent resident of Gujarat for the last 10 years.

Income Limit for Destitute Old Age Assistance Scheme
An income limit has been fixed by the Director Social Security Department for availing the benefit of the Destitute Elderly Assistance Yojana by the Govt. of Gujarat.
To avail this Yojana the Candidate should have an annual income of Rs.1,50,000/- for urban area and above Rs.1,20,000/- if the applicant resides in rural area. Should not be if more then he cannot apply for this Yojana.
