- The objective of the Yojana:- to assist farmers with fencing wire for the purpose of crop protection around the land through subsidy

Main Objective of Tar Fencing Scheme 2024
To protect the crops from roes, boars and wild animals, it is necessary to make a barbed wire fence around the farm. The government also provides a subsidy of ₹ 200 per running meter around the farm or 50% of the total cost, whichever is less, to a farmer with 2 hectares of land for erecting barbed wire fencing. So the farmer can protect his Mahamula crop by building a barbed fence around his field.
Useful Note:- Earlier farmers who had 5 hectares of land were eligible for Help under this Yojana, but now the farmer who has 2 hectares of land will be applicable for assistance under Gujarat Taar Fencing Yojana 2024.

How much assistance will get under Tar Fencing Scheme Gujarat 2024
For Tar fencing, a subsidy is provided to a farmer of Rs.200 per running meter or 50% of the total cost, whichever is less, for erecting barbed wire fence around his field. That is, if the area covered by the farm is 1,000 meters, the farmer will be eligible for assistance of 200*1000= 2,00,000 or 50% of the expenditure, whichever is less.
Eligibility Required for Tar Fencing Yojana2024
- In order to avail the benefits of Tar fencing Yojana Gujarat 2024, it is mandatory for the applicant farmer to be a permanent resident of the state of Gujarat.
- To avail the benefits, the age of the Candidate farmer should be between 18 to 60 years.
- Small and marginal farmers of Gujarat state will be considered eligible to get benefits under the Tar fencing Yojana.
- To avail the benefit under this Yojana, the farmer should have complete information of the expenditure incurred on fencing.
- Apart from this, the applicant farmer must also have useful documents related to the agricultural land.
- Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe farmers have been made eligible for this scheme by the Gujarat State Govt.
- This benefit will be given only to farmers who have a minimum of 0.5 hectares and a maximum of 2.0 hectares of land and those eligible farmers include Chak status in their name.
Rules made for Tar Fencing Sahay Scheme 2024
- Pits of 40 m width * 0.60 m depth * 0.40 m length shall be made for erecting the pillars.
- A pile of cement concrete or precast with minimum 4 strands of size 50 m height × 0.10 m thickness * 0.10 m width or
- OR Iron/Galvanized pillar size 50 m height * 0.04 m thickness * 0.04 m width, weight of one pillar minimum 8 kg.
- The wire used for fencing should be at least 50 mm in diameter.
- A distance of at least 00m between two pillars has to be maintained.
- At every 00m, piles for support shall be arranged on both sides.
- The base of the pillar has to be filled with cement concrete.

- Affidavit of Payment to Youth Leader
- Agreement that the farmers agree to do the work collectively
- Banehghari's note that Juth farmers have not availed the benefit of wire fencing Yojana in advance.
