Instead of visiting a station, folks will currently register associate e-FIR from their House through the national portal “gujhome.gujarat.gov.in” or through “Citizen 1st Gujarat Police” mobile Application, a political candidate aforesaid.

The facility is merely on the market for cases, within which the suspect area unit unidentified & there was no use of force, he said.

After uploading needed details on the web site or the app, complainants are going to be sent a confirmation through SMS & email, following that the applying are going to be forwarded to the involved station, the official aforesaid.

A senior official of a station are going to be needed to assign the preliminary investigation to his subordinate officer at intervals twenty four hours of receiving the grievance, he said, adding that the plaintiff are going to be alerted through SMS once the probe is allotted 

The investigation officer can have to be compelled to meet the plaintiff and verify the facts mentioned within the E-FIR at intervals forty eight hours & send his report back to the station in-charge, he said.

The station in-charge can file an FIR if the details mentioned within the e-FIR area unit found to be real by the investigation officer. If needed action isn't taken on associate aaplication at intervals 5 days, the government can take action against officers answerable for it
